So let's get to the inspiration for today's new Card Making & Paper Craft Scrapbook challenge...Today we're welcoming some super new crafters onto the team and we can't wait to start sharing their work with you all! So big huge welcomes to Jane Robinson, Tinne Peeters, Sarah Wyles and Deborah Hellman, Samantha Pfrimmer and Pueen Queen Jennifer!

Deborah Hellman - Hello all, so good to be here!  Here are two cute Halloween projects that I created using the Digi Winnie Wednesday Witch and Cat. For the Halloween treat bag, I slightly enlarged the Boo Halloween paper  in order to cover a 8.5 x 11" landscaped paper and added the image before printing. I then folded, glued, and added an optional decorative border and ribbon at the top. After completing the bag, I decided to make a smaller matching card using the same image. The sentiments for both projects came from the Boo Sentiment Bundle .I colored all images using Copic alcohol ink markers listed below. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
  • Robe, Hat, Hair: RV 52, 63, 55, 66
  • Hair, Hat, Cat: C 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and BV 23
  • Pumpkins: Y 35 and YR 15, 18
  • Skin: E 00, 11, 13 and RV 11
  • Dress: BG 11, 23, 49
  • Broom and Pumpkin Tops: E 23, 27, 79 and YR 31
  • Buckle: YR 31 and E 31
  • Leaves: YR 31 and BG 93
Jane Robinson - Hi there. This is Jane, and this is my first DT project for Polkadoodles and I couldn’t be happier to be part of the guest design team. I used Wheelbarrow Gnome and Frankenstein Gnome coloured using my Spectrum Noir markers. I have the Tri-blends and the brush Tri-blends and used a mixture of the two. The colours I used are as follows:
  • Purple blend – PL, PL3, PL2
  • Alpine green blend – AG5, AG3, AG1
  • Orange blend – OR3, OR2, OR1
  • Brown grey blend – BG9, BG6, BG2
  • Ice grey blend – IG10, IG7, IG2
  • Dark red blend – DR7, DR4, DR1
  • Earth brown blend – EB7, EB4, EB1
  • Fair skin blend – FS8, FS7, FS6
I also used a touch of coloured pencil for more definition, and Gelly Roll no.10 for highlights. I added the ‘EEK’, and the 'Pump Up Your Pumpkins' sentiments mat on pink, purple and black card stock with thin borders to help those sentiments to pop off the card. I fussy cut the cauldron, ghost, bat and haunted house from the patterned paper for added decoration.

Tinne Peeters - Hi everyone! For my first challenge as a DT member I chose a ghost as a Halloween icon. The Boo Ghost Halloween Gnome precoloured digital stamp is perfect for it! I created a full moon background using stencils and Distress Oxide inks. I cut out a black grass border using a die, and inked the top of the grass blades with blue ink. The sentiment I used is from the Halloween Trick or Treat Printable Greetings set. A video of how I made this card will be available on my Instagram page, I'd love it if you'd follow me and say hello!...

Pueen Queen (Jennifer)  - For this fun back to school card, I started with Polkadoodles an apple a day digital stamp. I colored this adorable little girl with ohuhu alcohol markers and finished her up by quickly fussy cutting her out. For the background, I used a sun ray stencil and a grass stencil with ranger distress inks to imply a sunny morning. I clear heat embossed the blue sky and added some clear glitter paste to the grass for a little sparkle and shine. The "have a fun day" sentiment is from Polkadoodles noodle panda themed messages, digital message printable pack. It was easy as print, cut, glue for this sentiment. I did pop it up a bit on some thin foam squares to help it stand out from the background.
Finally, to make this card extra fun, I popped up my school girl on an action wobbler. I think the first day of school should definitely be fun, and what's more fun than an interactive card? I can't believe how simple and easy it was to create this card with the Polkadoodles digital products! I hope you love my fun, back to school project today. Have a creative day. -Jennifer S.

Samantha - Hi everyone. Today I am featuring a card showcasing the ever adorable Winnie headed back to school using the Sharing an Apple image Copic colored in blues and reds. For Winnie’s dress, however, I did a little paper piecing using a printable paper from the Winnie White Christmas digi downloads set. I also used a corresponding red striped paper from the same paper set for the background along with a little subtle ink blending with Distress Oxide ink. And yes, you can use digital images for paper piecing techniques, you just have to run the same sheet of paper through your printer twice, once for the paper image and a second time for the feature image. To finish things off I used theEnjoy sentiment and I couldn’t be happier with how this cute card turned out.

Sarah Wyles - I'm thrilled to be part of the team! Today I've been busy creating with the super cute witch from the Boo Collection and layering paper textures. I inked all around the edges for a spooky feel and made her look a little 'green' lol.

Natalia - Halloween has been on our blog lately, so today, I have another card with pumpkins for this occasion. I used a giant pumpkin from the new collection - Ghastly Ghost Halloween. I used Boneshakin Halloween paper as a background, and additional images such as leaves, bats, and small pumpkins are from the Autumn Fall Halloween Treat collection. Everything was colored with alcohol markers.

Sabina - We are in the Halloween mood. I made a quick and easy Halloween treat holder out of 6"x 6" piece of paper and decorate it with the paper scraps from the Happy Cactus Succulent printable paper patterns 1. I added a pre-coloured Apple Bobbing Halloween Gnome digi and one of the sentiments from Halloween Trick or Treat printable Greetings.

Sonja - These Boxes are quickly crafted I simply used my favorite papers from Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers bundle 1 and printed out in large then I folded the triangle Boxes and decorated with Halloween Trick or Treat printable Word Art and finished are the treats for our neighbor kids little Devil Boo is a great sweet decoration as well as on one of the boxes for a special person.

Catrin - Hi everyone! Send an encouraging back to school card to someone with this fab image, Reach for the Stars - Rebel - I have used a beld on blue distress inks on the background and added some white gel pen dots and stars. Rebel has been coloured with promarkers and Gold Glitter Glue has been added to the stars. The Sentiment is from Rebel Messgaes with attitude and heat foiled with reactive foil.

Jane – This super sweet NOODLE PANDA is called GRADUATION YOU PASSED. I gave him a black card blackboard and used white ink through the stencil from the FUNKY FLOWER FRIEND COLOUR & CREATE set to add a chalk effect. I decided I needed a pop of colour so used a gorgeous blue paper found in the NOODLE PANDA SET 2 DIGITAL PAPERS.

So let's get to the inspiration for today's new Card Making & Paper Craft Scrapbook challenge...

Natalia - It's only a moment before Halloween and we already have some inspiration for you for this occasion. I prepared a round card with my favourite digistamp Oddella with bag Ickyink Art, and the background is one of the printable Word art from the Halloween Trick or Treat set. Everything was colored with alcohol markers.

Rachael - Hello again crafting friends. The thing about using digital stamps is that you can make them as big or as small as you like. I love this wizardry magic stamp from the little dude's collection. Perfect for a child's birthday. This one I made as large as a DL card with a giant number 7 in the background from the bonus printables that come with this stamp! Simple and yet really striking for a mantlepiece.

Wendy - Hi Everyone! We're playing with numbers today for the Polkadoodles challenge. I used the Coffee and Cake BIG Bundle with Birthday Candles (for my numbers). I couldn't resist getting the entire bundle - I love all things coffee. I used the paper, sentiment, and both a cupcake and coffee image for my card. I usually color everything myself, but the pre-colored images were just too cute and made it so easy for me to assemble. Thank you for looking!

Sabina - Hi! Today I'm sharing a little Halloween bag. I combined it with paper from Happy Cactus Succulent printable paper patterns 1 and the Little Monsters Dohh digi stamp which I coloured with Ohuhu markers. The sentiment is part of Halloween Trick or Treat printable Greetings.

Irre - Hello everyone. Sharing today a tag for Polkadoodles. For this project, I used a digital stamp called Lavender. I colored her with Copics. For the background, I colored in the tag with Distress ink and added some more through the number collage stencil. I did some edge stamping too, with a stamp from the stamp set Special times. Then, I added some black twine and decorated it with black stones, a metal flower, art stones, and a rhinestone. As a sentiment, I used one from the Rebel easy snip message strips. Finally, I added a black ribbon. Instagram: @scrapbyirre

Judy: This week's DT card is all about Halloween, which will be here before we know it! I have used the Mummy Boo Halloween Printable as my focal on this simply designed card. It was colored with Pencils and fussy cut. The background papers are from the Boo Halloween Printable Background Paper Bundle.I printed one of the sentiments from the Boo Halloween Sentiment Bundle. Twine, enamel dots, die cut ovals and a hand punched border were added.

Wow! Such fun projects & so many great ideas from the team this week - thanks so much for all your wonderful inspiration, ladies!

So let's get to the inspiration for today's new Card Making & Paper Craft challenge...

Martine - Do you like flowers? I do! And Peonies are one of them.I enlarged this one a bit in the printer so i could make this large card. So i had many to color ! Lol. And that sentiment suits very well... ( Let's hang out 37 ). I used gorgeous cloudy paper with it from Paper Heaven 1- Horace & Boo .. See you all next time!

Kim Stewart - Hard to believe we've already dropped into August. I picked one of the Blooming Lovely flower bundles called Blooms 1. I printed out the black and white digi image 2 times and then cut apart sections of the flowers. I also cropped the image down to give me the flowers only in different sizes. The flower images were coloured with my Copic markers and then i added Glitter glue to them to really make the pink pop. I added extra foliage from the Springtime Smiles Cute Chicks bundle for some extra interest. My paper selection is from Winnie Sunshine Delights pack 1 .  Fnally, my sentiment I chose from the Perfect Peony bundle. Instagram: @lady_kashmir/

Catrin - Hi Everyone! For my Sunshine and Flowers inspired card I have used the 'Hearts &Flowers Butterfly clear stamp set 1 , set 2Rainbows - Stamp Soup 19 clear stamp set and Flowers and Things - Stamp Soup 27 to create this circular card. To begin, I distressed the backing buy adding distress ink colours to a glass mat, spritzzing with water and placing the card on top, pressing down lightly, pulling the card off and setting asside to dry. I used Scrap Card on the reminder ink left on the glassmat so not to waste, and once dried I stamped the flowers and fussy cut. For the butterfly I used vellum and heat embossed with WoW Bright White and fussy cut, I then used distress ink on the wings. once the backing paper was dry, and flattened, I added some stamped images from the set, placed all the flowers and the butterfly to complete. Happy Crafting!

Judy: My DT card for this week's challenge is "school" themed. I have used the Wanda Working Study Phone Printable as my focal image. She was colored with Castle Arts Soft Touch Pencils and fussy cut. Part of the sentiment was stamped with the Funky Alphabet A5 Stamp Set. I also stamped borders and numbers from the same set. The other part of the sentiment was printed using Wanda Printable Messages and QuotesI added a strip of patterned paper behind Wanda from the Wanda Printable Paper Set 3.
Nunzia: It is so much fun to play with summer themes on these hot days, which is why I chose to color the cute Rocco Surf's Up. I fussy cut the stamp and glued it onto a combination of Just Lovely - Honeypie papers. Finally I printed the sentiment from Quotes Winnie-special-moments framed with a banner of Winnie-celebrations-1-banners and numbers bundle.

Pam - This adorable Panda in her 'Beach Inflatable Flamingo' is ready for the Hot Days of Summer! I've colored her up with my Copic markers and used Polkadoodles Starfish & Sandcastles papers along with the Sunshine from the Zodiac digital pack. She'll be catching the rays and chilling by the water!

Renske - I used the cute Lollipop Lady School Crossing Patrol/Security Guard digital stamp for my Back to School themed card. I coloured the digital stamp with my alcohol markers. For the girl's outfit, I chose a yellow jacket, white shirt and a blue cap with yellow accents. The floral-print skirt was decorated with yellow and blue flowers and I added subtle accents to enhance the overall look. The finishing touches included using glitter on the flowers and paper glaze on the plate. I set her in a scene with a road, pavement and trees in leaf. A lovely scene. Hope you like it. Happy crafting! My instagram: @renske.wishes.you

Jane – These gorgeous pre-coloured flowers are from the WATERCOLOUR FLOWER STEM digi deal and simply copied, pasted and manipulated in Word to create a bouquet. The paper and sentiment are also from this amazing value collection.

Candace - For today's challenge project, the theme is Sunshine and Flowers, Bright Colors and no people images. I used the image Too Cute Hamster. For the background pattern paper, I used Spring into Easter - set 3 and used Posydoodles Square dies to cut out the paper. The sentiment is from Rebel with Attitude Easy Snip Message Strips- these are great!!!
